Linekin Bay Resort Opens The Deck Bar and Grill

The Linekin Bay Resort, located in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, opens its waterfront restaurant and bar, The Deck Bar & Grill, on Wednesday, June 8 for lunch with an enhanced dock and dine experience for boaters. The restaurant is open to the public seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. except for Saturday evenings in June, September and October when the Resort will cater exclusively to special events.

A Grand Boothbay Resort Will Get Makeover

Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor. Over the next three to five years the new owners, Scott Larson, owner of the Newagen Seaside Inn, and Steve Malcom, owner and CEO of the Knickerbocker Group, a design and construction firm plan to invest $5 million to $6 million over the next three to five years in the property.

New Owners Renovating Linekin Bay Resort

Two local men are writing the second chapter of a historic Boothbay Region camping lodge’s history. Scott Larson of Southport and Steve Malcom of Boothbay purchased the Linekin Bay Resort in mid-December for an undisclosed price.

Linekin Bay Resort isn’t far from the center of Boothbay Harbor but the drive is just long enough to feel like you’re getting away from it all; I sit back and take a deep breath. General Manager Mark Osborn greets me as I pull in and brings me to my room—one of six in a rustic, waterfront house on the resort’s property… It truly feels like summer camp, where strangers become best friends in a matter of minutes. I don’t want to leave but pull myself away for dinner plans.

It’s a reward for surviving that often frenzied schedule of finals, dance recitals, jazz performances (my son, Jake, plays piano), packing for overnight camp, and frequent trips to Logan International Airport to drop off and pick up Dad.
