Linekin Bay Resort has been dog friendly during our spring and fall bed & breakfast season and we have enjoyed the additional company. We have had dogs join in wedding celebrations and other family celebrations and are happy to announce that we are now dog friendly during our summer season. We have 4 cabins that have been designated as pet friendly, cabins 13, 14, 15 & 17. These are some of our nicest cabins and have been chosen to be pet friendly because they are near our pet play area and offer a bit removed from the other cabins.
Linekin Bay Resort is located on 22 wooded acres with hundreds of feet of ocean frontage, the perfect place to enjoy time with your dog. We have an off-leash play area and nearby walking trails to explore. There are a number of pet-friendly preserves maintained by the Boothbay Region Land Trust; one is a short walk from the resort and many others are located within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Feel like going for a swim? Barretts Park is a beautiful place to do just that and is only a 1 minute drive (or 10 minute walk) from the resort.
This is the first summer we are extending an invitation to our four-legged friends so we would ask that if you do bring your dog that you please follow all of our rules and requests outlined in our pet policies.
1. Tell us in advance.
It is very important that we know prior to your arrival that you intend to bring your dog with you. We need to make sure that you are reserved in one of our 4 pet friendly cabins and make sure there are no other issues that may need to be addressed. It is also important that you work with us to arrange for housekeeping services; our staff will not enter a cabin with an unattended dog that is not in a crate.
2. Keep on a leash.
With the exception of our dog play area, Pets are required to be leashed in public areas and should be supervised at all times.
3. Restricted areas.
Sorry, but we do not permit dogs in any of the waterfront lodges, including Main Lodge and West Lodge, on the playing field, front lawn, dock or waterfront area. We need to be respectful of our guests that are not comfortable around dogs.
4. Clean-up after your dog.
Guests are required to clean up after their pets. Please use the designated trashcans or the Trashbins behind the Main Lodge.
5. Barking and other disturbances:
We have to be respectful of our other guest’s enjoyment of the peaceful setting offered at LBR. If your dog barks, please consider boarding them at one of our local kennels (links). Unfortunately if your dog creates a disturbance we will have to ask you kennel your pup.
6. Fees and security deposit:
We charge a single $40 fee per during our all-inclusive season and $25 fee during our spring and fall B&B season for your dog to stay at LBR. We do not require a security deposit, but any damage or injuries caused by pets is the responsibility of the pet owner.
LBR requires that all pets have up-to-date vaccinations.
