Who We Are

Since 1909 Linekin Bay resort has been a summer tradition for families, couples and friends. Situated on some of the most pristine, unspoiled coastline in Maine, Linekin Bay Resort has something for everyone; sail, kayak, swim, fish, play tennis, basketball and enjoy nature and each other’s company. Over the years we’ve tried to maintain an authentic Maine vacation experience - and our hardworking, enthusiastic staff is a HUGE factor contributing to that special spirit of the place that keeps guests returning year after year.

Who You Are

Friendly, considerate, team player and an outgoing personality are just a few of the attributes that describe our staff. Of course it is important that you are dependable and reliable to ensure that the resort runs smoothly, but we also want this to be a fun place to work; if our staff is having fun then our guests will enjoy their stay even more. Our most successful staff members have been people who embrace learning and are willing to wear many hats. While most of our staff members are hired for a specific position, it is common for everyone to help out in many different ways, including front desk/guest relations, wait staff in our restaurant & bar, waterfront activities, housekeeping, and kid’s activities. We are also looking to staff our sailing school, so if you know how to sail we want to talk to you.

What You Get

Live-in staff (typically a mix of in-state and out of state students and international students) are provided with free housing and three meals a day (plus snacks), 40 hour work weeks plus opportunities for extra pay, bonus at the end of the season, use of the facilities on a guest-first basis (pool, canoes, kayaks, sailboats, tennis, basketball, etc.); the chance to live and work with students from all over the world; and most importantly, friendships with staff and guests that may last a lifetime!
Staff members who live nearby and do not require housing receive meals while on duty, and all other benefits listed above.

Dates and Employment Details

Our season runs from mid-May to mid-October, but many of our staff only come for a portion of the season. Most of our staff are college or graduate students. Live-in staff can expect a minimum of $7.50 per hour and possibly more based on the position and your experience. There are no salary deductions for room and board and many positions allow opportunities for gratuities from guest and restaurant patrons.
